Mischa Barton Tutorial

Alright, this is my first tutorial, as requested from [info]xtatiq
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. This icon is very easy to make =)

Learn to make Image hosted by Photobucket.com, with Photoshop Elements; but can be easily translated to PSP


Alright.

o1. So, I take my picture; Image hosted by Photobucket.com and crop it to 100x100 -> Image hosted by Photobucket.com

o2. Next, sharpened it, then smoothed out her skin

o3. Then, duplicate your base and set it to Screen at 44%, then merge.

o4. Duplicate the base again, then (from Photoshop Elements) go Enhance -> Adjust Color -> Adjust Hue/Saturation, and lower the Saturation to -30

o5. For the eyes. Make a new layer, then take a light/bright blue color (eg. #4EDBE0) and use the brush tool, approx. 13px and go over the eye. Set this layer to Color; erase any parts that go over the eye.

o6. Then for the lips, make another new layer and take a medium pink color (eg. #EC5893). Set this layer to Soft Light; also erase any color that goes over the lips.

o7. For the hearts, make a new layer and set it to Soft Light. I used a heart brush from peach-blush.org and made it smaller.

o8. Now the text. New layer again, and wrote "doll" in Century Gothic size 12, in white, then added some tiny text.

o9. Lastly, go back to the base and take the sharpen tool and go over the eye once to make it stand out.

(This was the icon I made with my old computer, I had to make revisions, so the colors and all aren't exactly the same as the one I origanally used. And it's a tad bit darker.)

That is awesome! + memories for sure!

Also, this is probably obvious as hell, but is that Mischa Barton? If so her face looks fuller (which is a good thing). That is a beautiful pic.
